"Thistles & Thorns"

Why do I love the thistle? Living in an
agricultural state, thistles are not loved by farmers and ranchers However,
as an artist, I love its shape.
Yes, it's prickly, but I am reminded of the Garden of Eden, after the "Fall".
Life became much more difficult. We must tend and till the land
and certainly, life is more a struggle than had it been if we had remained
in the Garden of Eden.
